The Department of Education announced a further delay to release batches of FAFSA information (ISIRs) to schools until the first half of March.

Ozarks Rallies To Defeat Central Baptist

Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles stormed back with a seven-run third inning to grab a 10-8 victory over the visiting Central Baptist College Mustangs in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon.

Central Baptist College (13-24) jumped out to a 5-2 lead after scoring one run in the second and four runs in the top of the third. The Eagles (13-17) came back with seven runs in the bottom half of the third inning to take a 9-5 lead. Clint Phifer singled to left field to begin the high-scoring inning. Caleb Hilton followed with another single to left field. Brett Hays singled in both Phifer and Hilton. Rusty Farrin continued the scoring campaign with a single up the middle to knock in Hays. Brian Heckmann added an RBI when he doubled in Farrin. Todd Vandevoir later singled to first base to advance Heckmann to third. Heckmann would then steal home to give the Eagles their fifth run of the inning. Justin Brown tripled, driving in Vandevoir. Ozarks’ final run of the inning came from an RBI by Phifer. The Eagles had seven hits in the inning and left three runners on base. The Mustangs would battle back to make the score 9-8 when they scored one run in the fifth and two runs in the sixth. Ozarks then shut down Central Baptist for the remaining three innings as the Mustangs had only one hit during that span. Ozarks collected 17 hits. Heckmann had a team-best three hits. Brown hit his third home run of the season. Tyler Gideon (1-1) received the win after pitching three innings. Justin Jennings recorded his third save of the season. Ozarks travels to Richardson, Texas, to face UT-Dallas in a three-game conference series beginning with a double-header at 12 p.m. on April 9. The final game of the series will start at 12 p.m. on April 10.
