Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles cruised to an easy 92-61 win over Rhema Bible College Tuesday in non-conference action.
Ozarks (3-8) went up big in the first half and held the lead for all but one possession in the game. Rhema (2-9) took a brief lead, 10-8, at the 15:25 mark of the first half, but Ozarks went on a 13-4 run over the next four minutes to take control of the contest. Joshua Clark’s three-pointer gave the Eagles a 21-14 advantage with 11:42 remaining. With Isaiah Boxell dishing out assists, the Eagles built a 39-25 lead with three minutes left behind a variety of shots, including another Clark three-pointer to cap the spurt. Behind Clark’s 12 first half points, Ozarks held a 49-34 halftime lead.
Jermery Victor sparked the Eagles in the second half with 11 points. His three-pointer three minutes into the half gave Ozarks a 25-point advantage adn then Rhema’s defense allowed the Eagles to go ahead by 31 points with five minutes remaining. Ozarks dominated the boards (57-36) and held Rhema to 23-of-71 (32%) from the field.
Victor finished with a team-high 16 points. Clark and Marcus Bobb posted 14 points, while Andrew Cummings added 10. Boxell had ten assists.
Ozarks will next play January 3 against Howard Payne University in Clarksville.
