Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks and Hendrix College joined the National Fastpitch Coaches Association's StrikeOut Cancer initiative to raise money and awareness on behalf of the American Cancer Society on April 22.

All donations went to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Southwest Sporting Goods has donated pink socks and other items of clothing for the event.

Since starting the StrikeOut Cancer initiative four years ago, the NFCA has raised thousands of dollars to support the fight against cancer. These vital resources allow the American Cancer Society to continue its lifesaving efforts to prevent cancer, save lives, and diminish suffering from the disease through research, education, advocacy, and service.
