Ozarks Has Tough Weekend Texas Trip

Clarksville, Ark.-The Lady Eagles traveled to Texas over the weekend to play American Southwest Conference matches against University of Texas-Tyler September 19 and University of Texas-Dallas September 21.

The Lady Eagles (2-5-0), (0-3-0) lost both their matches. Ozarks surrendered two first half goals to UT-Tyler (2-3-0), (1-2-0) and ended the game with a 2-0 loss. Lindy Swatzell had five of the team’s eight shots on the day. Goalkeeper Sarah Stratton recorded eight saves. The Lady Eagles kept the defending ASC champion UT-Dallas Lady Comets (4-2-1), (2-0-0) scoreless in the first half, but a five goal second half performance gave the Lady Comets a 5-0 win. Swatzell had a team-best two shots. Stratton had 11 saves. Ozarks will host Louisiana College September 26 and Mississippi College September 27 in ASC matches. The women’s matches are set for 1 p.m.
