Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles had seven players in double figures in a 115-71 blowout of Central Baptist College on Saturday.
The Eagles shot a sizzling 73 percent in the second half, including nailing 6 of 8 three-pointers. Michael Young led the Eagles in scoring with 19 points. Gibbs followed with 17 points. Eric Whisenant made 4 of 7 three-pointers on his way to scoring 16 points and Acord chipped in with14 points. Donald Williams had a game high 7 assists for the Eagles. “I felt like we didn’t play good at all in the first half,” said Johnson. “We made a lot of turnovers and looked sluggish at times.” The Eagles are 2-0 on the season.
