Ozarks Ends Season Against East Texas Baptist

Clarksville, Ark.-The Lady Eagles ended their season with a pair of losses to American Southwest Conference opponent East Texas Baptist University over the weekend.

The Tigers (25-13, 14-10 ASC) took a 9-4 win in game one and a 7-0 win in game two to complete a sweep. Ozarks (14-26, 7-17 ASC) started with game strong, scoring four runs off five hits in the first inning. However, the Lady Eagles would collect just two more hits the rest of the way, and the Tigers would eventually take a 7-4 in the fourth. In the first, Cassie Saorrono hit a three-run homer, giving her four on the year.

Brittany Thompson (9-8) took the loss. Chelsea Joslin and Sarah Otteman had two hits apiece.

East Texas Baptist raced out to a 4-0 lead after three and held Ozarks scoreless for the entire game in game two. Ozarks had three hits in the third frame, but were unable to cash any of those base runners in.

Danielle Dirks finished a perfect 3-for-3. Stephany Henson (4-14) took the loss.
