Clarksville, Ark.--The Eagles won big against American Southwest Conference opponent Louisiana College on Friday afternoon on a wet Hurie Field.

The Eagles (6-6-0, 3-3-0) blasted the visitors 11-0 and set a new school record with 45 shots in the match. The previous record of 42 was owned by the 2001 team when they recorded 42 shots against University of Dallas. Ozarks’ squad in 2003 later tied the record when they tallied 42 against Louisiana College. In Friday’s match, 14 different players had at least one shot and three different players had at least two goals. Jared Gordon and Ron Hogsett each finished the game with a hat trick and Ryan Skelly had two goals of his own. It was the second time this season Gordon and Hogsett have had multiple goal games. Gordon finished the match with eight points and Skelly ended the contest with seven points. Ozarks jumped out to a 7-0 lead after the first half, with both Gordon and Hogsett scoring two apiece. Louisiana College (0-11-0, 0-7-0) had little chance to get back into the match after the Eagles scored once in the eighth and ninth minutes and twice in the tenth minute. The Eagles recorded 22 shots on goal. Goalkeeper’s Chris Schultz and Jeffrey Enevoldsen each played forty-five minutes in the match. Ozarks improves their all-time record against the Wildcats to 7-2-0. Ozarks will host Mississippi College tomorrow at 3 p.m.
