Ozarks Dominates Louisiana College In Soccer Action

Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles dominated Louisiana College on a hot Friday afternoon in American Southwest Conference action at Hurie Field.

Ozarks (3-4-1, 1-2-1) tied a school record by tallying 42 shots in their 10-0 win over Louisiana College (0-9-0, 0-4-0). The Eagles 42 shots equaled a match record set in 2001 against University of Dallas. The Eagles domination began when they jumped out to a 5-0 lead after one half of play. Taylor Magee, Ricky Herrera, Josh Edgmon, Ryan Skelly and Jared Gordon each contributed a goal in the first 45:00 minutes. The offensive outpouring continued in the second half when Ron Hogsett, Justin Goodman, Will Brahic and Gordon each scored to give the Eagles a season-best ten goals. Brahic would score twice in the span of thirteen minutes in second half play. Twelve different players recorded shots for Ozarks. The Eagles ended the contest out shooting the Wildcats 42-10 with Brahic leading the team with 6 shots. Brahic and Gordon would tie for a team-best five points in the match. Junior goalkeeper Chris Schultz had four saves. Freshman goalkeeper Buddy Faulkner played twenty-three minutes and recorded two saves. Ozarks will host Mississippi College tomorrow in ASC East Division action.
