Clarksville, Ark.-Jason Owens scored the game-winning goal in the 85th minute to propel Ozarks to a 3-2 win over McMurry on Saturday in American Southwest Conference play.
McMurry (0-9-0, 0-6-0) took an early 1-0 lead when Chris Ryan scored in the 5th minute. Ozarks (7-2-2, 2-2-1) answered with a goal by Anthony Santoro in the 19th minute and a Matt Engelman goal in the 30th minute. Ozarks had a 11-7 shots advantage in the first half.
McMurry tied the match 2-2 with a goal in the 81st minute. However, Owens found the back of the net to give the Eagles the game-winner with only five minutes remaining.
Guido Salas had a pair of assists in the win. Engelman had the other.
Ozarks out shot McMurry 31-16. Salas had 10 shots in the match.
Ozarks will host Howard Payne University October 9 at 3:00 p.m.
