Clarksville, Ark.-Ouachita Baptist used timely hits in game one and Ozarks committed costly errors in game two as the Tigers took a double-header sweep on Monday afternoon in Arkadelphia.

The Tigers (21-27) cashed in earlier as they put two runs on the board in the first inning en route to a 4-0 win. The two teams combined for just seven hits in the non-conference contest, but it was Ouachita Baptist that made the most of theirs with runners on base. Ozarks (11-19) struck out nine times.

Brittany Thompson (7-6) allowed four hits, fanned six and was charged with two earned runs.

Holding a 2-0 after three, Ouachita Baptist took advantage of three Ozarks’ miscues in the fourth to go on to a 6-1 win in game two.

The Lady Eagles threatened in the second, as they put two runners in scoring position with one out. However, the Tigers were able to force back-to-back outs to end the rally. The Tigers came back in the fourth with four runs on three hits and three errors to make it 6-0. Ozarks got on the board in the sixth when Chelsea Joslin slapped an RBI double to the gap in right field.

Stephany Henson (3-10) took the loss.

Ozarks will host Mississippi College in a four-game set this weekend beginning Friday at 2:00 p.m. “Senior Day” will be held on Saturday.
