Olivia Fisher Named ASC’s Tennis Player of the Year

Clarksville, Ark.- University of the Ozarks senior Olivia Fisher was voted the American Southwest Conference East Division Women's Tennis Player of the Year as voted on by the league's 14 head coaches, the ASC office announced on Wednesday.

Fisher, a native of Mountain Home, was also named to the All-East Division First Team. Fisher dropped just one conference match in No. 1 singles, where she played at all season. She posted a 4-1 singles record in league play and finished with a 7-5 overall singles mark. She went 7-4 in doubles play for the season. It is the third straight season Fisher has been All-Conference. The Division Player of the Year honor is the first such award for Ozarks’ tennis program.

Fisher is a nominee for ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America honors. A three-sport standout, Fisher has been All-Conference in basketball and soccer. She is a three-time member of the ASC All-Academic Team.
