Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks senior forward Olivia Fisher was named the American Southwest Conference East Division Women's Basketball Player of the Week, it was announced Monday by ASC Media Relations Director Greg Weghorst.

The 6-foot Mountain Home, Ark., native averaged 15.5 points, 18.5 rebounds and three steals over a 2-0 week in conference play. Fisher grabbed 23 rebounds, the most in a single game in the ASC since the 2002-03 season when Lady Eagle Jenna Corbell pulled down 25, in a come-from-behind win over Texas Lutheran Saturday. Fisher helped the Lady Eagles overcome a 44-32 halftime deficit, scoring 15 points and grabbing 13 rebounds in the second half. She was a perfect 2-of-2 from the three-point line and went 6-for-7 from the free throw line in the game. On Thursday against Schreiner University, Fisher pulled down 14 rebounds and played in all 40 minutes. For the week, she went a combined 9-for-11 from the free throw line and added three assists and one block.

Fisher ranks sixth in the ASC in rebounding (9.3) and fourteenth in steals (2.1). She has started in all 13 games for Ozarks and is averaging 7.9 points per game.

Fisher has earned All-Conference honors in basketball, soccer and tennis during her collegiate career.

She is the granddaughter of Betty Fisher and the late Jim Fisher of Hot Springs and Mike and Toni Fisher of Mountain Home.
