Olivia Fisher Named ASC Defensive Player of the Week

Clarksville, Ark.-Junior goalkeeper Olivia Fisher was named American Southwest Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week after leading the Lady Eagles (1-0-1, 0-0-0) to a pair of shutouts over the weekend.

<#IMAGE:1#>Fisher, a 6-1 native of Mountain Home, didn’t miss a minute of action, recording a combined 11 saves over 210 minutes. Nine of her stopped shots came in the season opener, a game in which Ozarks settled for a tie with Lambuth after two overtimes. Fisher made several nice saves in the match, including a would-be goal in the first half that gave Ozarks a needed defensive lift. Fisher recorded her second shutout on Monday when the Lady Eagles routed Mid-America Christian University 12-0. She is a graduate of Mountain Home High School where she earned team Most Valuable Player honors.
