Oklahoma troupe to perform “A Christmas Carol”

Clarksville, Ark. --- Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park (OSP) will present the Charles Dickens classic, "A Christmas Carol," at 3 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 11, as part of the University of the Ozarks' 2011-2012 Walton Arts & Ideas Series.

The production will be held in the University’s Walton Fine Arts Center on the Clarksville campus. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children under 10. Tickets can be purchased on the day of the performance at the box office or in advance by calling 979-1346.

OSP’s performance of "A Christmas Carol," offers a unique twist on an old favorite. This fast-paced, energy-filled, one-hour original adaptation of the classic Dickens story includes 10 actors and is a family-friendly production. Following the performance, all audience members are invited to a reception in the Walton Fine Arts Center lobby for hot chocolate and cookies.

OSP will also be offering a special performance workshop for children and adults on the day of the performance. No prior performance experience is required and everyone is invited to attend these free workshops.
