Tyler, Texas-No. 2 Texas-Tyler outscored the Lady Eagles 45-1 to complete a four-game weekend American Southwest Conference sweep.
Texas-Tyler (38-2, 23-1 ASC) pounded out 24 hits and recorded 16 runs after two complete innings in a 22-1 game one victory over the Lady Eagles (14-25, 4-19 ASC) Saturday and then picked up a 4-0 victory.
In game one, the Patriots had nine hits in the first inning and plated eight runs, and then followed that with eight more runs in the second frame to hold a commanding 16-1 lead.
Haley McKee (0-2) took the loss. Sheridan Barajas went 2-for-2 and Tori Ivy recorded an RBI.
In game two, Texas-Tyler generated a run in the second, third, fifth and sixth to record a shutout victory. Amber Rollins (10-9) fanned eight in the loss.
