Mummey Homers Twice; Eagles Get 28th Win

Clarksville, Ark.-Robert Mummey belted a pair of homers and Brett Wood pitched three and one-third shutout innings to help the No. 23 Eagles to a 14-4 win over Williams Baptist College on Tuesday in Walnut Ridge.

Ozarks improves to 28-8 overall while Williams Baptist Falls to 15-36.
    
Mummey, a senior first baseman from Flower Mound, Texas, smashed a three-run homer in the third and hit a two-run shot in the eighth. Mummey increased his season total to ten. Mummey wasn’t the only Eagle flexing his muscles as Robby Finnell and Bruce Cameron each went yard in the non-conference affair.  In the top of the seventh, Finnell hit a two-run shot and Cameron followed with a grand slam. Meanwhile, Wood kept the WBC bats in tact as he fanned six in seven innings of work. The sophomore right-hander from Missouri City, Texas, issued two walks and was charged with three earned runs to improve his record to 2-0.
    
Mummey ended the day 3-for-5 with 5 RBI. Finnell went 2-for-4 with 2 RBI and Cameron finished 2-for-3 with 5 RBI. Finnell increase his home run total to 11 and RBI total to 49. Cameron now has ten home runs. Additionally, Todd Koch went 3-for-3 and Scott Dietz went 3-for-4.
    
The Eagles will face Arkansas Tech University on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. in Russellville.
