Clarksville, Ark.-A pair of back-to-back goals within a 45-second span deflated Ozarks and helped Mississippi College to a 5-0 shutout win Thursday in American Southwest Conference play.
The Choctaws (11-5-0, 10-1-0 ASC) netted back-to-back goals in the 37th minute to gain momentum of the match. Mississippi College then scored five minutes into the second half to all but secure the win. The Eagles (3-10-1, 3-8-0 ASC) allowed two more goals and gave up 11 shots in the second half.
Ozarks will play its final match of the season Saturday against Louisiana College. Senior Matt Mouer will be honored following the match as part of “Senior Day”.
