Men’s Tennis Team Goes 1-1 Over Weekend

Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks men's tennis team opened the 2007 season with a 1-1 record over the weekend in Conway.

<#IMAGE:1#>Ozarks defeated John Brown University 6-3, but suffered a 0-9 loss to Hendrix College on Saturday. Against John Brown, Jordan Bass (6-0, 6-1), Kevin Edwards (6-0, 6-1), Tyler Timms (6-0, 6-2) and Michael Laws (6-2, 6-0) each had victories in singles play. Kevin and Keith Edwards gained a 8-4 win in doubles action. Timms and Laws recorded a 8-2 victory in doubles play. The Eagles will host Harding University on February 22 at 2:00 p.m. The Eagles will then travel to Clinton, Mississippi, to face Mississippi College on March 3 in American Southwest Conference play.
