Tyler, Texas-The men?s soccer team suffered a 2-0 loss against Texas-Tyler Friday night in American Southwest Conference play.
Texas-Tyler (5-0-4, 2-0-1 ASC) scored in the 12th minute to hold a 1-0 halftime advantage. Ozarks (6-4-2, 1-2-1 ASC) generated a pair of impressive offensive attacks early in the second half as Eloy Salgado’s shot hit off the crossbar in the 52nd minute. Ozarks then was awarded a penalty kick just moments later, but Patriot goalkeeper Alex Capuzzi came up with a big save to keep the shutout intact. Austin Benner and Jarret Sadler both saw time in goal for the Eagles.
Ozarks will face LeTourneau University in a match Saturday in Longview, Texas.
