Men’s Soccer Team Records Ninth Shutout

Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks men's soccer team blasted Central Baptist College 6-0 on Tuesday afternoon in Clarksville.

<#IMAGE:1#>Ozarks (14-5-1, 10-3-0) held a 2-0 halftime advantage behind goals by seniors Jared Gordon and Ryan Skelly. Dan De Hart received the assist on Gordon’s goal. Gordon, who ends regular season play with 16 goals, received the assist on Skelly’s score. Dylan Evans, Jonathan Evans, Wilson Jones and Marshall Fazekas all scored in the second half. Jared Taylor, Thomas Albaugh, Ryan Holman and Aaron Brueckner received assists. Ozarks out shot Central Baptist (8-10-0) 40-2. Both Gordon and Skelly each had 6 shots. Jeffrey Enevoldsen and Cody Shannon both played in goal for the Eagles and helped the team record their ninth shutout of the season. The Eagles finish the regular season with 53 goals, while allowing 18. Ozarks (14-5-1, 10-3-0) will make their seventh straight ASC playoff appearance this weekend. The Eagles received a first-round bye and will face the winner of the Hardin-Simmons/Mary Hardin-Baylor match on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
