Clarksville, Ark.-John Brown University secured a 2-0 win over the University of the Ozarks men's soccer team with a second half goal Saturday in an exhibition match.

After just two days of practice due to NCAA III regulations, Ozarks traveled to Siloam Springs to face NAIA opponent John Brown. John Brown, which had already played one scrimmage this season, scored a goal in the first half and then secured the match with a second half goal.

“After just two days of practice, the guys did about all I could ask of them,” said head coach John Cossaboon. “The guys are on their way. We just need some more time to get game ready.”

The Eagles return a core group of seniors and four All-Conference players for the 2011 season.

Ozarks will host NCAA II opponent Harding University in another exhibition match August 27 at 4:00 pm.
