McMurry Defeats Eagles

Clarksville, Ark.--The Eagles were defeated by McMurry University 3-1 on Friday afternoon in Abilene, Texas.

Ozarks (8-7-0, 5-4-0) loss to McMurry University (8-6-2, 7-2-1) puts the Eagles in a three-way tie for sixth place with four conference games remaining. McMurry scored two first half goals went on to claim a 3-1 victory over the Eagles on Friday. Ozarks did cut the deficit to 2-1 in the 68th minute on a Jared Gordon goal, but the Indians would answer with a goal of their own in the 79th minute to seal the win. The Eagles again out shot their opponent, 15-11. Ron Hogsett had 6 shots, including 4 shots on goal against the Indians. Ozarks has out shot their opponents 286-154 and out scored their opponents 41-18. Chris Schultz and Jeffrey Enevoldsen split time in goal for Ozarks. Schultz did not record a save while Enevoldsen had 4. Ozarks will host Concordia-Austin on October 22nd and Mary Hardin-Baylor on October 23rd. Saturday’s match against Mary Hardin-Baylor will be designated as "Senior Day." All seniors and their families will be recognized prior to each match. In their final two games, Ozarks will travel to Kerrville, Texas, to face Schreiner University on October 30 and Seguin, Texas, to take on Texas Lutheran University on October 31.
