Clarksville, Ark.-Mary Hardin-Baylor pulled away from the Eagles in the second half to claim a 68-57 American Southwest Conference victory Thursday night in Belton, Texas.

Marcus Bobb and Andre Williams each had 16 points for Ozarks (4-9, 1-7 ASC). Bobb posted a double-double by grabbing 10 rebounds to go along with his double-digit scoring effort. Williams was particularly strong in the first half, hitting a pair of three-pointers to score 12 points. The Crusaders (9-2, 5-2 ASC) held a 24-14 lead with 7:22 remaining in the first half, but the Eagles reeled off a 13-2 run to take a 27-26 lead with 3:23 left. Williams scored seven points during that stretch as Ozarks went into intermission tied, 31-31.

The Crusaders hit Ozarks with a 11-0 run to open the second half before Jermery Victor finally got the Eagles’ first points of the half. Mary Hardin-Baylor led by 14 points at the midway point of the second half, and later held a 58-43 advantage with 7:43 remaining in the game. Ozarks made a run of their own to cut it to 60-53 with 5:26 left. However, the Crusaders allowed just one field goal the rest of the way. The Eagles hit just 8-of-29 (27%) from the field in the second half, with Bobb making half of the team’s makes during that stretch.
