Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks senior midfielder Marcus Aldaba was named the American Southwest Conference men?s soccer Co-Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
The 5-foot-10, 155-pound Plano, Texas, native displayed great touch in setting up four Ozarks’ goals during a 2-0-0 week. Aldaba paced the Eagles to a dominating 7-1 win over Hendrix College September 11 with three assists and a goal. The senior’s offensive prowess and crafty midfield play was evident against Williams Baptist September 14 as he had another assist for six points for the two-match week. Aldaba recorded three shots during the week.
Aldaba was named to the ASC All-Conference Team in 2010.
Ozarks (4-0-1) will travel to Memphis, Tennessee, to face Millsaps College September 21 and Rhodes College September 22.
