Clarksville, Ark.- Mandi Carter was named to the d3hoops.com All-South Region Second Team, announced on Wednesday by d3hoops.com editor Pat Coleman.
<#IMAGE:2#>Carter, a 6-foot-1 senior center Clarksville, had her best season at Ozarks, finishing fourth in the American Southwest Conference in scoring (17.3), sixth in rebounding (8.3), eighth in free throw percentage (73%) and fourth in blocked shots (1.6). She earned ASC All-East Division honors all four seasons at Ozarks and led the Lady Eagles to the playoffs in back-to-back seasons. She finishes her career as the school’s second leading scorer (1,538) and rebounder (826). She also earned ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America honors this season. Carter had seven games of 20 or more points, and produced ten double-doubles during the 2006-2007 season. She had season-high’s of 29 points (vs McMurry) and 14 rebounds (vs Louisiana College).
