Clarksville, Ark.-LSU-Shreveport spoiled the University of the Ozarks men's soccer season-opener by handing the Eagles a 1-0 setback Wednesday afternoon in Shreveport, Louisiana.
The Pilots (1-0-0) got a goal from Rogerio Celaya in the 67th minute to secure the match. Ozarks (0-1-0) couldn’t connect on one of its four shots in the second half. The Eagles did own a 5-1 advantage on corner kicks. Ozarks totaled six shots on the day, with Tony Santoro recording a pair of shots on goal. LSU-Shreveport committed 17 fouls and received four yellow cards.
Neil Thompson had five saves in goal. LSU-Shreveport ended the match with 14 shots.
