Michelle Loving, director of conference services at University of the Ozarks, has earned the Collegiate Conference and Events Professional Certification (CCEP) by the Association of Collegiate Conference and Events Directors-International (ACCED-I). Loving will be recognized at the association’s 43rd annual conference in Chicago on March 14, 2023.

The CCEP certification program was established by ACCED-I in 1991. Candidates are required to present evidence of substantial professional experience, volunteer service to the profession, and complete a lengthy research- based examination.

Loving has been in her current position for one year and in the conference and events profession over 17 years. She has been a member of ACCED-I since 2021.

“I accepted the challenge to complete my professional certification process because I believed that it would directly impact my ability to do my job on a daily basis,” Loving said. “I am proud to receive this recognition from my peers and am ready to aspire to new challenges.”

Loving previously served Ozarks as special events coordinator for the Office of Advancement from 2014 to 2021 and as alumni office secretary from 2005 to 2014. She earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Arkansas and a master’s degree in strategic communications from Arkansas State University.

The Association of Collegiate Conference and Events Directors-International was founded in 1980 and currently has a membership of over 1,200 professionals at educational institutions in North America. ACCED-I is the largest independent educational association dedicated to professional growth and development in the conference and events profession.
