Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles took a loss at the hands of Louisiana College on Thursday evening in American Southwest Conference action in Pineville, Louisiana.

The Eagles (7-10, 4-2) were unable to score on their last possession of the game as Louisiana College (8-10, 4-3) picked up a 68-67 win in a key ASC East Division match up. With three seconds remaining in the game, a Reggie Brasfield three-point shot rolled out and an offensive rebound and put back by Tyler Field came up short as time expired in a battle of two of the top teams in the East Division. Louisiana College held a 28-26 lead at intermission, but a Brent Johnson three-pointer 55 seconds into the second half gave the Eagles one of their many leads of the game. A Brasfield three-pointer with 4:36 remaining in the game gave Ozarks a 60-56 advantage, but Louisiana College would slowly take back the lead and eventually hold a 67-63 advantage with just 44 seconds left. A Josh Joyner three-pointer tied the contest with 18 seconds left and a missed Wildcat free throw with nine seconds remaining gave Ozarks the last possession of the game. Brent Johnson scored 20 or more points for the sixth straight game and led the team with 22 points. Joyner scored 13 points. Johnson led the squad with 11 rebounds and 4 steals. The Lady Eagles and Eagles travel to Clinton, Mississippi, to face rival Mississippi College on January 31.
