Clarksville, Ark.-Louisiana College spoiled the Lady Eagles “Senior Day” Saturday with a shocking 2-1 come-from-behind overtime win in American Southwest Conference action.
Ozarks (1-17-0, 1-11-0 ASC) held a 1-0 halftime lead after Haley Gilliam knocked in a shot off a corner kick from MaKenna Piha. It was Gilliam’s team-leading sixth goal of the season. Louisiana College (5-10-2, 2-8-2 ASC), however, found the back of the net in the 70th minute to even the score. After a scoreless first overtime, the Wildcats eventually netted the game-winner in the 103rd minute off a free kick from 20 yards out. Ozarks’ midfielder Morgan O’Neil, who was honored prior to the match during a “Senior Day” ceremony, ends her career with 71 career matches played.
