Clarksville, Ark.-Louisiana College went on a 27-7 to open the second half en route to a 71-45 win over the Lady Eagles in American Southwest Conference play Saturday.
Ozarks (5-14, 3-11) trailed 32-23 at the half and were unable to muster a comeback due to the Wildcats (12-6, 8-6) hot second half start. Sabrina Goddard scored 11 points in the first half to keep the Lady Eagles close. Her inside basket with 1:27 left got Ozarks within 28-23. The Wildcats came out on fire in the second half, reeling off a 16-0 run over a five-minute span to build a 58-28 lead. Ozarks managed just seven field goals in the second half.
Goddard scored a team-best 20 points. Olivia Fisher had 16 rebounds.
