Clarksville, Ark.--Division champion Louisiana College took two from the Lady Eagles softball team on Saturday in American Southwest Conference play.

Louisiana College (28-8, 23-5) took an early lead and never looked back in a 7-4 victory in game one of Saturday’s double-header. The Lady Wildcats scored one run in the second, third and fourth innings, to hold a 3-0 advantage going into the bottom of the fourth. Chelsea Joslin then hit a solo shot, her school record ninth of the season, to pull within 3-1 after four. The Lady Eagles (9-28-1, 5-23) would score twice in the bottom of the seventh, but it wouldn’t be enough as Louisiana had built a 7-2 lead before Ozarks’ two runs. Kayla Reedy reached on a single and scored on a Jodie Clark triple in the final inning. Clark would later score on an error. Dana Marvin (5-11) received the loss. In game two, Louisiana held just a 2-1 lead after three innings of play before exploding for five runs in the fourth to make it difficult for an Ozarks comeback. The Lady Wildcats then took advantage of four Ozarks’ errors in the top of the seventh to add on seven more runs. Marvin would lead off the bottom of the seventh with a solo home run, her first of the year. Kara Bartholomew later scored on an error. Bartholomew and Shannon Rainbolt, who played her final home game at Ozarks, had two hits. Chanceree Catlett (4-15) received the loss. The Lady Eagles finish the season with a road trip to Conway to face Central Baptist College on April 26.
