Clarksville, Ark.-The Lady Eagles (13-6), (5-3) are now in third place, one game behind league leader East Texas Baptist, after a 74-61 loss to Louisiana College on January 31.
Mandy Thomas was the only Lady Eagle player to score in double figures with 20 points. Thomas, the team’s leading score with a 13.3 point per game average, hit 8 of 15 field goals and was a perfect 4 of 4 from the free throw line. She also tallied three steals. Christie Shuffield, who ranks 16th in NCAA III field goal percentage, was held to just two field goals. Shuffield had a team high nine rebounds. Louisiana College, however, countered with a more balanced scoring attack, having four players who scored in double figures.
