Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks freshman goalkeeper Lori Langman was named the American Southwest Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, announced ASC Director of the Media Relations Greg Weghorst on Monday.

Langman’s play in goal gave the Lady Eagles (2-0-4, 1-0-1) a win and a pair of ties during the week, including a 1-1 tie against favored UT-Tyler. The 5-foot-11 native of San Antonio, Texas, totaled 13 saves and one shutout in 310:00 minutes of play in her three starts. On Wednesday, Langman stopped six balls in a 1-1 tie against Hendrix College and then came back on Friday to record seven saves from 16 shots against an explosive UT-Tyler offense. Langman recorded her first shutout of the season with a 5-0 victory over Concordia University Texas on Sunday, improving her goals against average to 0.87.

She is a graduate of Reagan High School where she earned All-State and First Team All-District honors.

Langman and the Lady Eagles will travel to Richardson, Texas, to face UT-Dallas on September 22.
