Lindsey Nietert Named ASC East Division Player of the Week

Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks senior guard Lindsey Nietert was named the American Southwest Conference women's basketball East Division Player of the Week after averaging 15.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 3.0 steals per game to lead the Lady Eagles to a 3-0 mark in ASC play.

<#IMAGE:1#>With an undefeated ASC record during the week, Nietert’s play put the Lady Eagles (5-2, 3-1) in a first-place tie for the East Division lead. The 5-8 native of Branch, Ark., scored a team-high 23 points against Texas Lutheran University, including two clutch three-pointers in overtime to help secure a 94-93 victory. She added 6 assists and 3 blocks in Saturday’s win. In a 99-90 win against Schreiner University on Thursday, Nietert had 11 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals. On Monday, the gritty Nietert finished with 13 points and 5 steals in a victory over Sul Ross State University. Nietert has started in all seven games for the Lady Eagles and is averaging 10.9 points and nearly 4.0 rebounds per game. She is a graduate of County Line High School where she earned All-Region, All-District and conference Most Valuable Player honors.
