Clarksville, Ark.- LeTourneau out scored the Lady Eagles 16-6 in the final eight minutes of the game as the Lady Jackets took a 77-65 win over Ozarks on Thursday night in American Southwest Conference play.
Ozarks (1-23, 1-18) held a 41-40 halftime advantage behind a strong first half shooting performance. The Lady Eagles went 17-of-33 (51%) from the field, and both Olivia Fisher and Erica Eneks had 11 points. In the second half, the Lady Eagles cooled off considerably, shooting only 8-of-31 (25%) from the floor. Nonetheless, Ozarks held the lead for about half of the second half, with the last coming at the 8:55 mark after an Ally Goddard three-pointer. Ozarks scored just two more times from the field after that, once on a Fisher jumper and the other on a Chandra Briggs layup.
Fisher led Ozarks with 17 points and 15 rebounds. It was the sixth double-double of the season for the ASC’s leading rebounder. Eneks and Kayla Quertermous finished with 11 points.
Ozarks will finish the season with a game against East Texas Baptist on Saturday.
