LeTourneau Upsets Eagles

Clarksville, Ark.-The U of O Eagles (13-9, 6-4) fell to LeTourneau University in American Southwest Conference East Division action on Saturday.

The Eagles fell 86-74 and puts them in third-place in the East Division with a 6-4 record. The Yellow Jackets hit 13-of-26 (50%) three-pointers to give the Eagles their second straight home loss. Despite the setback, the Eagles can still make the playoffs. Ozarks trailed 47-37 at intermission and would see a second half deficit balloon to 28 points. The Eagles hit 2-of-14 from the three-point line and 13-of-32 (40%) field goal attempts in the second half. Senior forward Michael Bollman led Ozarks with 24 points on 10-of-18 shooting from the field. Bollman also had a team-best eight rebounds. Junior guard Mandrell Howell added 16 points and freshman guard Josh Joyner had 12 points. Ozarks will play host to Austin College on senior night February 18. The women’s game is set for 5:30 p.m. and will be followed by the men’s contest at 7:30 p.m.
