Clarksville, Ark.-LeTourneau University withstood a second half run from the Eagles and took a 82-76 win in American Southwest Conference play Thursday night.
Ozarks ends the season with a 7-18 overall record and a 4-15 mark in the ASC.
Leading 45-38 to begin the second half, LeTourneau (11-13, 10-8 ASC) would quickly fall behind 46-45 after Jermery Victor hit a jumper and then made two straight three-pointers. After battling back-and-forth the twelve next minutes, LeTourneau built a 72-66 lead with less than five minutes left in the game. Ozarks made another run to cut it to 73-70 on an Isaiah Boxell three-pointer at the 3:21 mark. But LeTourneau responded with a 5-1 run to hold a 78-71 lead with 53 seconds remaining.
Justin Jones carried LeTourneau in the first half with a 24-point performance. Jones went a perfect 11-of-11 from the floor and had LeTourneau in front 36-20 with 7:32 left in the first half before Marcus Bobb, Andrew Cummings and Ronnie Dodd hit back-to-back-to-back three-pointers to pull Ozarks within 36-29.
Ozarks hit 11-of-23 from long-range in the game, with five different players making at least two each.
Dodd and Cummings scored 15 points to lead Ozarks. Bobb finished with 14 points and Victor added 12.
