The Department of Education announced a further delay to release batches of FAFSA information (ISIRs) to schools until the first half of March.

LeTourneau Men Knock Off Ozarks

Longview, Texas-LeTourneau University turned a 50-49 lead late in the game into a 65-53 win as it outscored the Eagles 15-4 in the final five minutes of Saturday?s American Southwest Conference game.

Isaiah Boxell drilled a three-pointer at the 5:51 mark of the second only to bring Ozarks (6-13, 3-10 ASC) within one-point. But LeTourneau (9-10, 8-5 ASC) found its rhythm and scored 15 points to finish out the game while holding Ozarks to just four points.

In the first half, LeTourneau held a seven-point advantage at the midway point, but Ozarks slowly dwindled the deficit down to 21-19 when Andrew Cummings hit a three-pointer with 5:10 left in the half. LeTourneau ended the half with a 30-27 lead.

Ozarks would eventually take a narrow two-point lead in the second half, but LeTourneau came back to own a 50-46 advantage with 6:05 remaining in the contest. Boxell then hit a three on Ozarks next possession. But after that, Ozarks hit just one more field goal in the final five minutes.

Cummings paced Ozarks with 14 points. Ronnie Dodd added 11 points.

Ozarks will travel to East Texas Baptist and Texas-Tyler next week.
