Clarksville, Ark.-LeTourneau University out scored the Eagles 42-36 in the second half en route to a 77-53 win in Saturday's American Southwest Conference game.
The Eagles (8-17, 7-13) trailed only 35-27 at intermission, but came out in the second half shooting only 33 percent from the field. LeTourneau (15-9, 13-7) out scored Ozarks 19-7 in the first eight minutes in the final twenty minutes of play. The YellowJackets held a 66-36 lead with 9:35 remaining. The Eagles went to the free throw line just 13 times, while LeTourneau had 21 chances from the charity stripe in the contest. Chris Williams reached double figures for the third straight game, scoring a team-best 12 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the field. Habeeb Kareem added 11 points, his nineteenth game in which he has reached double figures. Both Kareem and Clint McHenry had 5 rebounds.
