Clarksville, Ark.-LeTourneau University edged the Lady Eagles 60-55 in American Southwest Conference action Thursday night.

The YellowJackets (4-10, 3-6) shot just 29 percent from the field in the game, but made a big shot when it needed the most. After Olivia Fisher hit a jumper with a minute left to get Ozarks (5-9, 3-6) within 54-52, LeTourneau’s LaQueda Davis answered with a bucket with 42 seconds remaining to give the Yellowjackets a lead they wouldn’t relinquish. LeTourneau then made four straight free throws with less than 18 seconds to play to seal the game. An Alison Villines three-pointer with 5 seconds left did cut the deficit to three points, but it was a little too late.

Neither team shot well in the game, with Ozarks hitting only 33 percent of their attempts. The low scoring first half saw a 13-12 LeTourneau advantage with 4:36 remaining. Lacey Phillips’ layup with five seconds left tied the game at 20-20 going into the locker room.

Villines led the team with 16 points. Olivia Fisher had 11 points and 13 rebounds.
