Clarksville, Ark.-The U of O Eagles (13-9, 6-4) and Lady Eagles (10-13, 4-6) both fell to LeTourneau University in American Southwest Conference East Division action on Saturday.
The Lady Yellow Jackets spoiled a trip to the ASC tournament for the Lady Eagles with a 73-64 overtime win. The Lady Eagles, chasing the Lady Yellow Jackets for the second place spot, fell three games behind LeTourneau with only two games remaining. The Lady Eagles would trail 26-19 at halftime, but would outscore LeTourneau 40-33 in the second half. Ozarks would cut the lead to four points with three minutes left to play and eventually tie the game at 59-59 to send the contest into overtime. LeTourneau, however, outscored Ozarks 14-5 in overtime. Ozarks shot just 1-of-17 (5%) from the three-point line in the game. Junior forward Jenna Corbell led Ozarks with 20 points and eight rebounds. Ozarks will play host to Austin College on senior night February 18. The women’s game is set for 5:30 p.m. and will be followed by the men’s contest at 7:30 p.m.
