Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks freshman forward LaTisha McCalister was named the American Southwest Conference women's basketball East Division Player of the Week after leading the Lady Eagles to a road victory over Austin College and moving Ozarks atop the ASC East standings.
McCalister, a 5-10 native of Malvern, came off the bench and pumped in 23 points shooting 46 percent from the floor (7-of-15), including a pair of three-pointers, and nailing 7-of-10 free throws. She added 8 rebounds, 3 blocks, and a pair of steals and assists to her stat line in Ozarks’ key victory over Austin College on December 30. McCalister leads the team in scoring (16.0) and steals (2.1) and is third in rebounds (5.0). It is the second time this season McCalister has earned the honor. McCalister is a graduate of Malvern High School where she earned All-State as a senior.
