Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks senior defender Lars Nyberg was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas All-South Central Region Third Team.
Nyberg, a 6-4, 220-pound native of Georgetown, Texas, started in 19 matches this season and scored two goals and recorded two assists. Nyberg ends his career as a four-time All-Conference performer and finishes sixth in school history in most games started (74). Nyberg helped the Eagles earn a spot in the American Southwest Conference championship playoff tournament for a league-record sixth consecutive year in 2005. The Eagles led the league in shutouts (11), which tied a conference single-season record. Ozarks topped the league in goals against average (.82). The 2005 team set school records in fewest goals allowed (19), lowest goals against average and shutouts. <#IMAGE:1#>
