LaGrange Rallies In Ninth

Clarksville, Ark.-LaGrange College scored four runs in the top of the ninth inning to come out with a 7-5 win over the Eagles in the Wilson/DeMarini Classic Sunday.

With the Eagles (1-3) holding a 4-3 advantage going into the ninth, LaGrange (1-2) sparked a comeback fueled by a three-run homer to go up 7-4. Ozarks got the last at bat and put their first two runners on base. With one out, Logan Kizer was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Ozarks was able to get one runner across the plate, but LaGrange forced a fly out to end the game.

David Smith, Andrew Teaster and Kizer each had two hits. Jeremy Hogan drove in two runs. Cory Briggs (0-1) took the loss. Bruce Cameron went seven innings as the starter and fanned five.

The Eagles will host Williams Baptist College February 13 at 1:00 p.m.
