Pineville, La.-Louisiana College cruised to a 102-62 win over Ozarks Thursday in American Southwest Conference play.
The Lady Eagles (8-8, 6-7 ASC) were plagued by turnovers in the game, committing 21 miscues in the first half alone. Louisiana College (13-2, 10-1 ASC) jumped out to a 51-32 halftime lead and played 17 players during that time. Ozarks trailed 26-18 at the 9:42 mark, but the Lady Wildcats jumped out to a 49-24 lead with 2:59 left.
Louisiana College continued to put pressure on the Lady Eagles and forced 19 more turnovers in the second half. Ozarks trailed by 30 points with 13:14 left.
April Young and Sabrina Goddard each had 13 points. Ashley Barry posted 11 points and eight rebounds.
Ozarks will travel to Mississippi College January 21.
