Lady Eagles Victorious In High Scoring Affair

Clarksville, Ark.-The Lady Eagles (3-10-0, 3-5-0) smashed Louisiana College 6-1 in conference play on October 18.

Ozarks will travel to Marshall, Texas, to play East Texas Baptist on October 25 in ASC action. The Lady Eagles will look to avenge a 1-2 overtime loss to East Texas Baptist on October 11. Lisa Hilton (Red Oak, TX) scored Ozarks first two goals to help set the tone for the day. Becky Obermueller (Derby, KS) scored just three minutes after Hilton’s second goal to give the Lady Eagles a 3-0 lead at halftime. Lindy Swatzell (Westwood, KS) would quickly continue the scoring fest in the second half with two goals in the span of fifteen minutes. Leslie Foster (Bartlett, TN) scored the Lady Eagles final goal in the 88th minute. Letty Trevino (Corpus Christi, TX), Kim Jacky (Salt Lake City, UT), Lindsey Turnbow (Benton, AR), Swatzell and Hilton were all credited with assists. Swatzell now has a team best six goals and fourteen points. Goalkeeper Jessica Bush recorded her third win of the season.
