Lady Eagles Tie Hendrix

Clarksville, Ark.-For the third time in their last four matches, the University of the Ozarks women's soccer team ended a non-conference contest in a tie.

The Lady Eagles (1-0-3, 0-0-0) battled Hendrix College (3-0-2, 0-0-0) to a 1-1 tie on Wednesday night in Conway.

The match’s first goal came from Hendrix’s Devin Smith in the 27th minute. Ozarks didn’t waste any  time in the second half, as freshman Chelsea Coleman scored the first goal of her career in the 48th minute. Emalee Pearson had the assist. After two overtimes, neither team could convert on their shots following Coleman’s goal. Heather Dryden had 3 of Ozarks’ ten shots.

Goalie Lori Langman had 6 saves.

Ozarks will begin their conference slate when they host UT-Tyler on Friday at 2:00 p.m. and Concordia University Texas on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
