Clarksville, Ark.- The women's tennis team went 2-1 to open the 2008 season last weekend in Conway, Ark.
Ozarks defeated John Brown University 5-4 on February 15. Olivia Fisher (3-6, 6-2, 6-2), Lea Rana (6-0, 6-2), Robin Bass (7-5, 6-2) and Brittany Hein (6-2, 6-2) all had singles wins. Rana and Bass teamed up for a 8-2 doubles win.
Against Lyon College on February 16, Ozarks dominated with a 8-1 win. Bass (6-4, 7-5), Hein (6-0, 6-0), Whitney Eastman (8-4) all had wins in singles play. Rana and Bass had a 8-6 doubles win. Hein and Hana had a 8-3 win in doubles.
On February 17, Hendrix College defeated the Lady Eagles 6-3. Rana (1-6, 6-4, 10-6) picked up singles victory.
The Lady Eagles will travel to Russellville to face Henderson State and Arkansas Tech on February 23.
