Lady Eagles Suffer Two Losses In John Brown Classic

Clarksville, Ark.-The women's basketball team opened the 2004-2005 season on the road in non-conference play in Siloam Springs over the weekend.

The Lady Eagles (0-2) were defeated in their two games in the John Brown University Classic, losing to Oklahoma Baptist University 86-52 on Friday and 89-43 to John Brown on Saturday. Against Oklahoma Baptist, the Lady Eagles were unable to overcome a 42-27 deficit at halftime in their loss to a strong Lady Bison team. Becky Kimball and Erica Eneks, who each scored 12 points, paced Ozarks in scoring. Kimball nailed 4-of-13 (30%) three-pointers in the game. Olivia Fisher and Jeanne Randall had seven rebounds apiece. Ozarks did force 20 turnovers against the Lady Bison. Ozarks struggled from the field in Saturday afternoon’s loss to John Brown University. The Lady Eagles shot 21 percent from the floor in the game, but did hit 7-of-23 (30%) from the three-point line. Lori Moon led the team with 12 points, including hitting 2-of-5 from beyond the three-point arc. Fisher had a team-best seven rebounds. The Lady Eagles’ defensive pressure forced 22 turnovers. Ozarks travels to Austin, Texas, to face Concordia-Austin on Nov. 27 and Belton, Texas, on Nov. 29 to take on Mary Hardin-Baylor in American Southwest Conference action.
