Longview, Texas-The Lady Eagles opened American Southwest Conference play with a pair of losses to LeTourneau University Friday in Longview, Texas.
Ozarks (6-6, 0-2 ASC) dropped game one 4-0 and then lost game two 11-0.
In game one, LeTourneau (13-5, 2-2 ASC) scored three runs in the second to break a scoreless contest. That would be enough for LeTourneau as the Lady Eagles’ offense recorded just three hits.
LeTourneau also benefitted from four Ozarks’ errors.
Amber Rollins (4-2) took the loss.
In game two, LeTourneau punctuated the day with a run-rule victory in five innings. LeTourneau scored seven runs in the second frame to take momentum of the game and never gave Ozarks a chance to get back into the contest. The Lady Eagles accounted for just one hit.
Tabitha McClane (1-2) took the loss.
Ozarks will finish its series against LeTourneau University Saturday in a double-header.
